This is for all dogs of all ages

Classes are structured as 4-week courses.

 Dog agility is a dog sport in which a handler directs a dog through an obstacle course. FUN-gility is not about the race, time or accuracy. It’s about having fun and communicating with your dog.

The athletic challenge:

Grade School for Dogs

This group class is for all dogs of all ages, sizes and breeds learning basic behaviors

(classes available weekdays and weekend)

Classes are structured as 4-week courses.

You and your pup will learn the top 5 basic behaviors. You'll learn how to work on these behaviors to a mastered level. The goal is to be able to use these cues outdoors and high distraction areas and set you and your pup up for a lifetime of success.

You and your pup will learn:

  • We'll work on proper greetings and more socialization skills

  • How to gain your dogs attention

  • Entry level target work

  • Foundation leash manners and recall 

  • Sit, Down and impulse control

  • Into to release cues

  • Set you and your pup up for a lifetime of success

  • Alumni return at no cost

High School for Dogs

This group class is for all dogs and all ages and all breed that want to advance their dogs skill sets

Classes are structured as 4-week courses.

You and your pup will learn a new set of 5 basic behaviors. You'll learn how to work on these behaviors to a mastered level. The goal is to be able to use these cues outdoors and high distraction areas and set you and your pup up for a lifetime of success.

You and your pup will learn:

  • Learn advance behaviors such as "place"

  • Teach your dog a solid leave-it and stay

  • Master a release cue

  • Work on a reliable recall

  • Have advance leash manners

  • Learn other advance skills sets

  • Alumni return at no cost

Dog Walking

AKC CGC

This is a 5-week course and attendance is required for all 5 classes

Description:  

The Canine Good Citizen (CGC) program, is an American Kennel Club (AKC) program to promote responsible dog ownership and to encourage the training of well-mannered dogs. 

CGC is a 10-skill training program that is open to all dogs–purebred and mixed breed–that focuses on teaching the basics of good manners and obedience, instilling the values of responsible ownership, and strengthening the bond between you and your dog at home and out in the community.

Once your dog passes the CGC. test, which is given during the 5th class, you will be eligible to send in your AKC CGC application. For details on this program you can visit AKC directly.

Some homeowners' insurance programs or hotels offer discounts for CGC dogs, and an increasing number of apartments and condos see passing the CGC test as a major bonus for becoming a resident.

Class takes place the first 4-weeks and the test is on the 5th week which is open to the public for $25.

  • Required Materials:

  • A flat buckle collar or harness (no choke, prong or e collars)

  • 6 foot leash

  • 20-30 foot long line (for recall training)

  • Your pups favorite toy

  • Lots of soft training treats 

  • Handler will need to wear sneakers, athletic pants and top (you will be moving and bending)

  • Water for yourself.
