Giving a Hand

Grade School for Dogs

This group class is for all dogs of all ages, sizes and breeds learning basic behaviors

(classes available weekdays and weekend)

Classes are structured as 4-week courses:

We limit each course to 9 dogs maximum to ensure that each dog gets what they need to be successful!

You and your pup will learn the top 6 intro behaviors. You'll learn how to work and communicate these behaviors to a level of high distractions. We want your dog to “listen” to you in any situation and environment.

You and your pup will learn:

  • We'll work on proper greetings and socialization skills

  • How to gain your dogs attention

  • Entry level target work

  • Foundation walking manners and recall 

  • Impulse control and release cues

  • This class includes a custom harness fitting session

$225 in-person

Dogs with trainer

High School for Dogs

This group class is for all dogs of all ages, sizes and breeds learning basic behaviors

(classes available weekdays and weekend)

Classes are structured as 4-week courses:

We limit each course to 8  dogs maximum to ensure that each dog gets what they need to be successful!

You and your pup will learn a new set of 6 intermediate behaviors. You'll learn how to work and communicate these behaviors to a level of high distractions. We want your dog to “listen” to you in any situation and environment.​

You and your pup will learn:

  • Advanced manners when greeting

  • Advanced behaviors such as “place”

  • Teach your dog a solid leave-it and stay

  • Advanced walking manners and recall 

  • Impulse control and release cues

  • This class includes a custom harness fitting session

$225 in-person

Animal Rescue and Care

College for Dogs

This group class is for all dogs and all ages and all breed that want to advance their dogs skill sets

(class availability varies)

Classes are structured as 4-week courses:

We limit each course to 6 dogs maximum to ensure that each dog gets what they need to be successful!

You and your pup will learn how to build from your existing foundation. This class is structured in a way that incorporates impulse control, settling, distractions, games, tricks and enrichment. The goal is to be able to walk with manners, have a strong recall, stay and hold positions in the outdoors and high distraction environments and set you and your pup up for a lifetime of success.

​You and your pup will learn:

  • Advanced Stay and Place

  • Advanced Walking Manners and Recall

  • New behaviors such as back-up and stand

  • Advanced tricks and games

  • Each student chooses one thing THEY want to learn tailored to them

  • Prerequisite: must have graduated from High School for Dogs

  • If under 3 registrants, you can roll over into next round or refunded

Dog Walking

AKC Canine Good Citizen

This is a special 4-week advanced course. 

Description:

Learn ALL 10 test points and MORE in this 4-week program.

The Canine Good Citizen (CGC) program, is an American Kennel Club (AKC) program to promote responsible dog ownership and to encourage the training of well-mannered dogs. 

CGC is a 10-skill training program that is open to all dogs–purebred and mixed breed–that focuses on teaching the basics of good manners and obedience, instilling the values of responsible ownership, and strengthening the bond between you and your dog at home and out in the community.

Once your dog passes the CGC test, which is given on the 4th class, you will be eligible to send in your AKC CGC application. For details on this program you can visit AKC directly.

Some homeowners' insurance programs or hotels offer discounts for CGC dogs, and an increasing number of apartments and condos see passing the CGC test as a major bonus for becoming a resident.

The test day is open to the public for $25
