Pride Dog

Gamers or Manners 

These 2 different classes are for any dog, any age and any skill set

 

Gamers Description:

  • GAMERS is a GREAT way to learn how to do fun stuff with your dog.

  • Anything you want to teach your dog can be done in a game format.

  • Canine games can physically and mentally exercise your dog.

  • Games can also reduce stress and anxiety while build confidence.

  • This class is perfect to learn new ways to keep your dog busy when it's too hot, cold or rainy.

Manners Description:

Are you expecting company over?

Does your dog get too excited or even scared when meeting new people?

Does your dog suddenly forget how to listen when people are around?

Does your dog:

  • jump on people?

  • pulling on leash?

  • greet impolitely?

  • get a little mouthy?

  • bark at your guests?

  • counter surf when food is out?

  • run out the door as you open it?

Come to class and learn how to manage these unwanted behaviors and train them to STOP! Help make your holidays a more enjoyable experience for you, your guests, and your dog(s)​

Confidence Building or Impulse Control

These 2 different classes are available to any dog, any age and any breed

Confidence Building Description:​

  • A confident dog is a happy dog. A confident dog is a successful dog.

  • Like humans, many dogs lack confidence. Not having confidence many hinder how they learn, how they think and how they feel.

  • This Confidence class is for fearful or skittish dogs. This needs to happen first before obedience will work

  • Confidence building is an important part of puppyhood development but never too old to learn at any age.

Impulse Control Description:

  • Impulse control means that your dog is able to control his instincts and impulses to remain calm and obedient, even when he is excited or something catches his attention. This can help him make better decisions and behave appropriately in different situations

  • This take training, time and patience to perfect. Impulse control training is typically done in layers to perfect the skill. 

  • This is considered an advanced class

  • This class can help control the level of distraction layers to help set your dog up for success.

Sniff and Search (nose work) or Trick Dog Classes

​Sniff n Search Description:

  • Sniffing constructively is a great way to bring their relationship to the next level. In fact, Sniff and Search is being used more and more to provide enrichment for dogs in shelters.

  • Benefits of Sniffing and Searching:

  • Dogs can be passionate about the benefits of sniffing and believe it’s a positive experience for dog and handler. We’ve seen shelter dogs and timid dogs gain confidence from participating, while also observing improvements in their behavior and attitude.

  • Dogs have a sense of smell that’s between 10,000 and 100,000 times more acute than ours! Let them have FUN while doing something they LOVE!

  • Ask a dog to sniff to their heart’s content; turning your dog’s favorite activity into a rewarding game. This is terrific for all kinds of dogs, and is a wonderful way to build confidence in a shy dog. Being low impact, it's suitable for dogs of all sizes, ages and abilities as well-a perfect activity for seniors!​

Trick Class Description:

Enroll in this FUN and rewarding class. You and your dog will learn new skills that are both tricks and very useful in everyday life. Why not earn a brag worthy title for it?

  • Have a new and fun bonding experience with your dog

  • Show off to your friends and family

  • Great and safe fun for dogs and kids

  • Get a AKC trick title
